NOW HEAR THIS! NOW HEAR THIS!…
Important Announcement
At CGH Accounting Services, we are in the business of serving our clients (as our name suggests!).
We deal with PEOPLE, and in particular – we help people look after their livelihoods.
We realise times are tough and that a lot of people are doing it hard. Especially with the significant increases in the cost of living.
Our operating expenses have risen too, however we have taken the decision to hold our individual tax return accounting fees as per the 2022 financial year rate.
We hope that one less thing going up might make a small but positive and welcome difference to our clients and families.
You are important to us!
June Is A Busy Time Here At CGH Accounting!
June is, of course, a very busy time of year for us at CGH Accounting Services. Why is that? Because it’s TAX TIME! All our CPA’s and accountants get really excited right about now. This is when they really shine – even have a few cunning light bulb moments – when it comes to getting the best tax result for YOU.
Q: How many accountants does it take to change a light bulb?
A: How many did it take last year?
Haha, but seriously…Why do accountants make good lovers? Because they’re great with figures. Hehe.
Alright, seriously
This Bulletin contains lots of helpful info and advice with regard to Tax Time 2023.
But just before we get into that, did you know that also in June, there are some great live music acts coming up in Ballarat? Old school rockers Henry Rollins and the Hard-Ons are in town, amongst others. Our tax accountants and business advisors enjoy loud tunes – even a bit of head banging – but they don’t do crowd surfing because their spectacles, pocket calculators & pens always get busted:)
Speaking of surfing, the registered tax agents and tradie bookkeepers at our Surfcoast office in Torquay report that they’re looking forward to some groovy gigs happening around that part of the world in June, as well. There’s lots going on, from Irish Drumming nights at Jan Juc, ‘Wild Moves’ International Dancing in Torquay, various solo artists performing at the Mr Archer Wine Bar and Boom Crash Opera in Geelong.
As you can see, if you ever need the low down on what’s hot in Ballarat or Torquay, our auditors and income tax specialists don’t just give savvy tips about self-managed super funds and capital gains: when it comes to awesome events and popular culture – they’re all over it…Like a cheap suit! Hmm…
Our Year In Review -Looking Back To Our June 2022 Blog
Looking back to our June blog last year, we were still talking about Covid19 and all the ramifications it had for us, our clients and our society. A rather gloomy newsletter, even though CGH Accounting Services managed to adapt and thrive during the pandemic – and even help many clients through very tricky financial situations. We’re proud of how we dealt with that time. We came through it bigger and better than ever actually.
A Lot Has Changed In 12 Months!
Now we have new offices, more staff and clients and business is booming. We’re loving 2023.
Yep, a lot has changed in 12 months, but you know what never does? Correct! As mentioned, it’s that time of year folks. Show us your paperwork! This is when our tax agents and small business tax accountants show us what they’re truly made of. Get in touch now, and let our experts sort out your tax return and help you plan prudently for the next one.
Please refer to additional items for important tax return information. More information is available on our website or by contacting us in person. We look forward helping everyone get the best possible outcome with their tax return as we toil away with the numbers and spreadsheets over the next few months.
From Us To You -Thank You
Chris, Jason, Jodie and the entire team at CGH Accounting Services thank you all for your continued support. Recommendations via ‘word of mouth’ are incredibly important for CGH, and we are very grateful for all the good things people have to say about our specialists and service – in Ballarat, Torquay and beyond…
Very best wishes from all of us.

Of special note:
If you are hoping to have your tax completed in July 2023, please be aware that it is up to you to ensure you provide us with the correct tax information.
The ATO does provide much of what we need, but due to employers not being required to lodge STP Payroll data until mid to late July 2023, accountants will not generally have access to finalised PAYG Summaries 2023 until mid to late July 2023. Once your PAYG Summary(s) 2023, detailed as finalised, is available in your personal MyGov account, we will then also have access to that information through our ATO Portal.
Our Mantra – RESPECT, HONESTY & COMMUNICATION
Please be sure to add www.cghaccounting.com.au to your Safe Senders or Whitelist in your email program so that you receive all correspondence from us without it going into your Junk or Spam folders.
